In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret group.

The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Latest Free Story Update

This release also brings the game's newest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
